Children need loving homes
In Colombia more than 100,000 children are under the protection of the Colombian Institute of Family Welfare (ICBF), our central authority for the protection of children.
More than 25,000 children are living in institutions, but these can never replace the love of a family.
Family changes everything
Because of poverty, illness, war, or abandonment, many orphans and vulnerable children do not live with their families of origin. As a result, many children end up in orphanages. While orphanages may provide for a child’s basic needs, they are not intended to protect and care for children long-term.
Only a family best supports a child’s needs.
